Addiction Services for Youth
Homewood Community Addiction Services (CADS) provides youth treatment services in all high schools across Guelph and Wellington County. Parents and youth can access these services through guidance or by speaking to their teachers or school administrators, who came make a referral. The contact number for CADS is 519-836-5733.
Choices for Youth, also provided by CADS, is a two session educational group for youth ages 13-19; that have had problems with alcohol and/or drugs and may be contemplating change. Group encourages youth to assess their current situation and explore options. Sessions run from 4:30-6:00pm and youth are encouraged to attend both sessions. Ray of Hope offers 4-6 month long community-based treatment to male and female youth who are living within the community, day treatment for female and male youth between the ages of 13-17 who need structured support to overcome the challenges of addiction and substance misuse, but who do not need more intensive support offered in a residential program, and residential treatment for males ages 13-17 in a therapeutic community model.
